about us
We take a systems approach to look at your business, understand what makes it tick, understand your risks and give you pragmatic solutions for the future. We have deep sustainability knowledge and a no-BS approach. We're fuelled by cups of tea (and cake) and the warm glow of knowing we're helping you and the planet at the same time.
Auburn Environment works across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia.
In Aotearoa, we honour Māori as tangata whenua and we commit to upholding the promises of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
In Australia, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of country and pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
We recognise the ongoing strength and resilience of Indigenous communities in the face of colonisation. We honour their continuing connection to land, water, and skies. We will work to be respectful, sensitive, open to learning and acknowledging our mistakes and privileges.
Meet The Team
We’re a no-BS evidence-based and experienced duo, fuelled by cups of tea and a passion to make a tangible difference.
We both have Masters degrees (in environmental science / engineering) and have also worked in the real world of getting-shit-done to a tight timeline and budget.
We’re Queenstown-based experts offering tailored environmental consulting services to help your business thrive responsibly.
Meredith Gee
Sustainability engineer
Black tea with a splash of almond milk x 1000 half-drunk cups a day
Meredith loves tackling a sustainability problem by zooming out to the bigger picture, then zooming in to the data and the details. She believes that the answer to your problem can be found by understanding both perspectives. Meredith started her engineering career in landfill design and operation, then moved into waste strategy and circular economy mapping. Having worked in consulting, government and corporate, Meredith understands the various perspectives and constraints that can exist.
Eleanor Trueman
Carbon and energy specialist (some would say ‘wrangler’)
Weak black coffee with a reasonable slice of cake
As a carbon management enthusiast, Eleanor enjoys empowering clients to measure, manage and reduce carbon, and most importantly, understand carbon. She finds that once carbon can be understood, it can then be objectively and tangibly tackled. Eleanor enjoys the gnarlier side of carbon and her physics and engineering degrees have given her a good grounding in the more technical aspects of carbon.
